About Bard and Bloom

Bard and Bloom is a family-run adventure dreamed up by multipassionate author, editor, and serial entrepreneur Jenn Sommersby—that’s me. Hi.

I do lots of stuff. One thing I do NOT do, however, is art. Though my business (and life) partner, Gary (a.k.a. GareBear) is, in fact, an artist, and I have artistic humans in my lineage, I can only draw a stick figure. And not well. And usually with NSFW appendages.

But I love COLLECTING and MAKING stuff, like snarky coffee mugs and bookmarks and notebooks for my wordsmith friends, and I do miss my photography days. Our house is basically a photo gallery of kids and pets (in addition to being a proper library that may or may not be compromising the foundation).

Our daughter Yaunna is a photographer who specializes in DOGS and other critters (yes, locals, you can book her!), and we wanted to find awesome, affordable PHOTO PRODUCTS so folks could enjoy their bebes of all shapes and species in real time instead of just on social media or in a digital library locked on your phone.
